ECONOMIC AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Moving towards the productive model of the future

Sustainable economic development is understood as a strategy of government, companies and civil society to create a more competitive economy, durable in time and socially and environmentally responsible.

The set of government strategies give the guidelines and demand to make decisions in this way. OÎCOS can help you to move forward with projects of a strategic nature, always with your feet on the ground.

The Sustainable Energy Action Plans (PAES) , Agendas21 and Local Action Plans for Sustainability are some of the common instruments that are recently being promoted, but each territory can direct plans and actions with specific and different objectives. Let's move forward

Industrial symbiosis and ecology

Applying industrial ecology theses, OÎCOS floats viable and economically favorable projects. The aim is to minimize the by-products and waste of a group of companies, favoring shared energy use, saving consumption and water joint management.

Industrial ecology promotes a relationship between industries (or other entities) in order to cloese the cycle of matter and, therefore, to obtain a zero level of waste. This is partly achieved by using the by-products and waste of an industry as raw material for others, as in natural ecosystems. It is easy to imagine the economic and environmental benefits that this method entails, because the saving of resources adds minimization of waste and the reduction of polluting loads. In addition to this there are two advantatges: the improvement of the environmental image of companies, entities and municipalities and the greater relationship and collaboration within the industrial sector and the industrial sector with the environment and the society.
